About
Jiulongji Waterfalls (九龙漈风景名胜区) is a national park of China (ninth batch, designated by the State Council in 2017), located in Qibu Town, Zhouning County, Ningde, Fujian.
The scenic area is in southeastern Zhouning County, Ningde, Fujian, reported to lie around Qibu Town about 13 km from the county seat, and centres on the Jiulongji waterfall group.
The Longjiang stream drops over cliffs in nine stages, with a total fall of about 300 m. The first stage is the highest at about 47 m, and stages six to nine form the 'four-fold fall' of about 60 m. The site is on the lower reaches of the Qibu stream.
Travel tips
Twenty to thirty minutes by road from Zhouning town and about two hours from Ningde city. Half a day is enough. Water is highest in summer and the rainy season, and the falls are smaller in dry periods. The walkways are slippery, so wear shoes with good grip.
