About
Zhelin Lake has 997 islands; fossils of primitive jellyfish 600 million years old have been found in the area.
It is part of the Mount Yunju–Zhelin Lake scenic area, in the sixth batch of national parks of China (national scenic areas) named by the State Council in 2005.
Travel tips
Lake Zhelin: mainly visited by boat, past islands and hills, with villages and towns on the shore you can stop at.
Where to stay: hotels on the mountain and at its foot, farm guesthouses and resort hotels by Lake Zhelin, and more choice in Yongxiu and Wuning towns.
