About
The Meiling–Pavilion of Prince Teng scenic area is in Nanchang, Jiangxi, and was in the fifth batch of national scenic areas in 2004. The Pavilion of Prince Teng, on the east bank of the Gan River in the city, is one of the three great towers of the south, made famous by Wang Bo’s “Preface to the Tengwang Pavilion”. Meiling, in the north-western outskirts, is an outlier of the Jiuling Mountains with Lion Peak and the Tongyuangang waterfalls, a summer retreat for the people of Nanchang. The two are 15 km or so apart.
Travel tips
Getting there: the pavilion is in the city, by metro or bus; Meiling is north-west of the city, by bus or taxi.
Time: about two hours for the pavilion, half a day to a day for Meiling.
