Desheng Fort, Datong, Shanxi 山西大同得胜堡
Desheng Fort, in northern Xinrong District of Datong, Shanxi, was a Ming garrison fort on the Great Wall of the Datong frontier. Deshengkou to its north was a gate through the wall, and in the late Ming a horse market for trade with the Mongols was opened here. The fort walls and the south-gate barbican are fairly well preserved.
