Juyongguan sits midway along the Guangou gorge in northwestern Changping District, a key pass of the Great Wall north of Beijing; “Juyong’s layered green” is one of the Eight Sights of Yanjing. The Cloud Platform inside the pass is the base of a Yuan-dynasty gateway stupa, its archway carved with sutras in six scripts and reliefs of the Four Heavenly Kings.
