Pianguan, Shanxi 山西偏关
Pianguan, in the northwest of Xinzhou, has its county town on the Ming pass of Piantou, named for the land sloping from high in the east to low in the west; with Yanmenguan and Ningwuguan it made up the Outer Three Passes. The Yellow River enters Shanxi here, and around Laoniuwan the Great Wall runs along the canyon.
