The Yellow River enters the Bohai Sea at Kenli, Dongying. The silt it carries keeps building new land, creating broad young wetlands and reed marshes. The scenic area lies within the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve and is an important habitat for birds such as the oriental stork.
