The stone shrine of the Guo family tomb stands on Xiaotang Hill in Xiaoli, Changqing, Jinan, Shandong. Built of stone in the Eastern Han, it is the oldest surviving above-ground house-shaped building in China, some seven centuries older than the oldest surviving timber hall (the Tang-dynasty main hall of Nanchan Temple). Its walls are carved with processions of horses and carriages, hunting and banquets. The shrine is now housed in a protective hall, and was among the first national key cultural relics protection units.
