Yucheng Post Station stands on the east bank of the old Grand Canal south of Gaoyou. Set up in the Ming as a relay station for boats and horses, it keeps halls, lodgings and storehouses mostly rebuilt in the Qing. It is one of the most complete old post stations in China and a component of the Grand Canal World Heritage site.
