Yuantouzhu, Wuxi 江苏无锡鼋头渚
Yuantouzhu is a peninsula that juts into Taihu Lake from its northern shore. It takes its name from a great rock shaped like the head of a soft-shelled turtle and is called “the foremost scenic spot of Taihu.” Woods, gardens and pavilions are scattered across it, cherry blossoms are especially fine in spring, and the Sanshan islands can be seen out on the lake.
