Hanshan Temple 寒山寺
Hanshan Temple stands by Maple Bridge, west of Suzhou. It owes its fame to Zhang Ji's Tang poem “Night Mooring by Maple Bridge”, with its midnight bell reaching a traveller's boat, a poem also widely known in Japan. Most of the buildings date from a late Qing rebuilding; the yellow walls are its mark.
