The Xianling Mausoleum holds the parents of the Jiajing Emperor of the Ming. It is the largest single tomb among the Ming imperial mausoleums and is a World Heritage Site as part of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Its layout – one mausoleum with two burial mounds, a winding imperial moat, a dragon-shaped spirit way and inner and outer ritual ponds – is unique among Ming imperial tombs.
