Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Yunnan 云南西双版纳热带植物园
The Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences stands on Hulu Island, a loop of the Luosuo River at Menglun in Mengla County; the botanist Cai Xitao founded it in the late 1950s. Covering about 900 hectares and holding a large collection of tropical plants, it is a leading center for tropical plant research.
