Tianshan Grand Canyon, Urumqi, Xinjiang 新疆乌鲁木齐天山大峡谷
The Tianshan Grand Canyon, in Urumqi County some 40 kilometers from the city, lies on the northern slope of the Tianshan between Bogda Peak and Tianger Peak, averaging over 2,000 meters. It holds the most intact primeval Schrenk spruce forest on the range’s northern slope, and Kazakh herders graze their flocks here.
