Baimai Spring, in Mingshui, Zhangqiu, Jinan, Shandong, is the chief spring of the Zhangqiu group, one of the Jinan Springs along with Baotu Spring in the city; “Baimai”, “a hundred veins”, refers to its many vents. The park also has Mo Spring, whose strong flow boils up from a well mouth, dark as ink, and Plum Blossom Spring, where several jets rise together like the petals of a plum flower. The water is clear, with waterweed swaying in it. Zhangqiu was the home of the Song-dynasty poet Li Qingzhao, and a memorial hall to her stands in the scenic area.
