Sanxingdui, Guanghan, Sichuan 四川广汉三星堆
On the south bank of the Yazi River in Guanghan, Sanxingdui is the site of a capital of the ancient Shu kingdom more than 3,000 years ago. Its bronze masks with protruding eyes, standing bronze figure, bronze sacred trees and gold staff are strikingly unlike the bronzes of the Central Plains. The Sanxingdui Museum stands at the northeast corner of the site.
