Anshunchang in Shimian County, Sichuan, is an old ferry crossing on the south bank of the Dadu River. Late in the Qing, the Taiping general Shi Dakai was halted here by the river, defeated and captured. The Red Army crossed the Dadu here on the Long March in 1935.
