Shuidonggou, Lingwu, Ningxia 宁夏灵武水洞沟
The Shuidonggou site lies at the foot of the Ming Great Wall northeast of Lingwu, Ningxia. Found in 1923, it was one of the first Paleolithic sites excavated in China; its layers, some 40,000 to 15,000 years old, have yielded large numbers of stone tools. It is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
