Wunü Mountain rises beside the Hun River northeast of Huanren town; its main peak is ringed by sheer cliffs yet flat on top. The mountain city on its summit is generally held to be the first capital of Koguryo, and is a World Heritage Site as part of the Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguryo Kingdom.
