Langya Shan, in western Yi County, Hebei, is part of the northern Taihang range. Its main peak, Lotus Peak, rises to over 1,100 m, and its sharp, jagged summits gave it the name “Wolf’s Teeth Mountain”. In the war against Japan it was the scene of the story of the Five Heroes of Langya Shan.
